FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Duluth, MN – Patricia Francisco, long term care specialist in Duluth, MN has earned the national certification as a Long Term Care Professional (LTCP). Co-sponsored by the Health Insurance Association of America (HIAA) and the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance (AALTCI), the LTCP designation is considered to be the industry’s premier designation program. Francisco consults with individuals and businesses to design and implement appropriate solutions to long term care needs.
Francisco earned the LTCP designation upon completion of four courses comprising the Long Term Care Professional program and subsequent examinations on course materials, which included long term care needs and options for care; financing options, including government programs and insurance products; pricing and regulation of long term care insurance policies; underwriting and claims processes of long term care insurance; and the impact of government regulations such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
The LTCP designation represents the culmination of efforts by two leading non-profit insurance organizations to create a comprehensive course of study focused on long term care. HIAA is the voice of America’s health insurers, representing its members in Washington DC and the states. AALTCI is a national independent professional organization exclusively dedicated to promoting the importance of planning for long term care needs. The goal of the LTCP program is to prepare professionals to evaluate long term care needs and serve as resources to offer the most appropriate solutions to meet those needs. LTCP graduates must commit to a high level of professionalism.
